Join tutors BBC director Mary Ward-Lowery and me, writer Helen Cross, who together made two seasons of the chart-topping podcast hit English Rose, for this dynamic week all about the exciting and hugely popular form of audio drama.

Through collaborative writing workshops, practical recording sessions and one-to-one tutorials, you will learn to craft storylines, create characters, pitch to producers and get the best out of working with actors. You will come away with a strong dramatic idea for an audio drama plus edited and developed scenes. The course is suitable for those new to writing for audio, and those who wish to expand their use of the form. All you really need is an interest in audio storytelling and a smart phone to make your recordings. Before the course you will be sent a list of dramas to educate and inspire you about the form.
